Born June 28, 1995 – Died March 7, 2012

Cookie, whom we affectionately called ‘Cookie Monster,’ was born in Fresno, California. She was bred by our friends, the Calkins, who specialized in breeding A.K.C. registered Lhasa Apsos dogs. She was sold to some people who lived in San Francisco who later decided they did not want her, as they were moving to the East Coast. So the Calkins rescued her and offered to give her to us. We took custody of her in November 1996.

Cookie peacefully died at 9:57 a.m. at Stiern Veterinary Hospital. Our dearly beloved and faithful friend was cremated, and her ashes were placed with her brother Buddy at Eden Memorial Pet Care in Paso Robles.

We were exceedingly blessed to have Cookie ‘Monster’ as a member of our family for 15 years 4 months.

Born Sept. 16, 2001 – Died July 25, 2009

Buddy was born in Bakersfield, CA and was chosen by Dianna because he was the friendliest and liveliest puppy of the litter. He lived with his “doggie sister”, Cookie and enjoyed much attention from Diana and Charlie. Although in the last 21 months of his life he dealt with health issues, he remained a lively and energetic dog. We were with our beloved friend and faithful companion to the end. We are grateful Buddy was a member of our family for nearly 8 years and will always be in our hearts and minds.

1996 – May 30, 2011

Our faithful, kind and loving furry companion, Rio, entered into eternal sleep in the early afternoon of Memorial Day – May 30, 2011. We deeply miss his 15 years of kind, loving and soulful antics around our home. We thank God for sending us Rio, our furry angel! Rest in peace, our beloved Rio – we so deeply miss you every moment. We give thanks for the beautiful lifetime memories of beautiful you!

A bundle of lumps, fur, and unconditional love.

It is with resolve and great sadness that we must acknowledge and learn to accept the passing of our beloved Java. We met her in early January 1998 at the Ojai Humane Society. Through the nearly 14 years we shared with Java- named for her beautiful lush coat of fur, which reminded us of the cream being poured on coffee as it begins to mix and swirl – she remained a perfect and precious companion. Because of her, we are forever changed and for that we are thankful to this sweet girl.

Our special boy, my best friend, my shadow. Our hearts will always ache for you. You were the “one in a million dog” and touched so many peoples lives. We were so blessed to have you for 11 years. I know you are watching over us and will send us another angel in time. See you at the Rainbow Bridge, my boy. We love you so much.

In Memory of Rusty
August, 1994 – January, 2011

Rusty was the orange kitty who stole our hearts. As a kitten, he was so small that he fit into the palm of one hand. Those big feet, though, foretold his future stature. Rusty usually weighed over 16 pounds in his prime. Rusty was a sweet boy who always reached out to us, literally, to shake hands or get another rub. He never asked for anything except our love. May you play forever in the sunlight on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, dear Rusty.

1998 – 2010

You were the light of our lives, the glue that held us all together. The day Dad picked you out, or you picked him out at the SPCA, was the best day of our lives. On the ride home, we fell in love with you immediately; we learned how special you were that day! You showed us nothing but love, smiles, and happiness. You were our ferocious protector if needed, worker dog with Dad out in the yard, inspecting the dirt, and our precious punkin in the mornings, cuddling up on the big bed. Our lives seem meaningless without our special boy, the house just seems cold and empty now – but we know you are able to run, roll-over, and be with your brothers and sisters. Thor is waiting for you we’re sure. We can’t wait to see and be with you again; we love you more than life itself Scooter, you were taken from us far too soon.

– Mom & Dad

August 1998 – August 2008

From the day Dad brought you home, you were my gentle giant! I miss seeing you out in the yard decorating yourself with the flower petals and leaves from the trees! I find myself looking for you when you don’t run to the gate to meet me – but I know you are forever running & playing, pain-free with Heather-momma dog! My heart is still broken, but I know you are in a better place. We will love and miss you for the rest of our days!

Buddy was a shelter dog who came to live with us 6 years ago. He was 7 or 8 years old at the time and had been dumped in a rural area about 40 miles from our home. Our 8 year old son and I visited the shelter that day on a whim and instantly fell in love with him. He was feisty and hard to train but my son, husband and I loved him deeply. That sweet smooshed little face! Buddy passed away between midnight and 2 a.m. on November 15, 2010. Four days earlier it was his birthday – he had macaroni and cheese with Costco canned chicken and was so full he couldn’t eat his orange cupcake. We gave it to him three days later and he had trouble eating it. His breathing was also shallow and fast. We had no idea that would be his last day. When my husband found him he had a sweet peaceful look on his face. We miss him greatly and will love him always.

To my best friend..Tule. I miss you more than you could ever imagine. They say it gets easier every day. They are wrong. You where nicknamed GG (gentle giant) for a reason. You brought everyone you touched love, laughter, warmth, happiness and peace. You loved unconditional, you gave your all unconditionally, you listened, you loved, and to this I will always have you in my mind and in heart forever. I miss you, and I love you Tule………

Earned his Peaceful Rest at 17 years,
July 16, 2010

Definitely an amazing dog. With coyotes in the area, he was wandering the streets when he was 7 years old. He was the most easy to love and gentlest dog I have EVER had. Even his last day, he was hurting but would not bite. He gently put his mouth around my hand to say “hurts there.” He was the protector of the other strays we also took in. Gentle in every way. “Zsolte,” the clan you watch over, Emma, Zoe, Ink, Willie and Alfonso all miss you. I can almost hear you barking to herd them all from harm. Loved Zsolte’s funny attack of the dog biscuit he would get. Miss you Zsolte, my tears betray how much I love you. I will ask God when it’s my time I can see you once again.

– With Love

I now understand why God created “dogs” to help us understand the meaning of unconditional love! From a puppy through 14.5 yrs of sharing walks, rides, and quality time, you never lost your enthusiasm for life. When you developed arthritis in your hips and started dragging your feet, you still wanted to go on walks. When we bought your “magic shoes” you would out run young Pepper (5 yrs old) and me with joy!! I miss you terribly Molly and your “Betty Davis ” eyes! I will look forward to seeing you again in heaven and for now, I will find comfort in knowing that you and my Mom are together watching over us! You will always hold a huge place in my heart and I will always miss you and love you!! My 4 a.m. walks & prayers will always share memories of you!! I miss you Baby Girl!

We miss you, our dear “Casey Lee”, so very much. You brought joy to our lives. The extra care you needed brought you closer to us than other pets we’ve had. You were always patient and always wanted to please. You had a happy, long life but the end is still hard to accept for us left without you. We will forever have our memories of you in our hearts. We’ll always love you,

My Buddy Buster
April 01, 1998 – March 25, 2010

Thank you my Buster for being our kind, gentle, loving sweet-baby. You will be with us forever. We miss you “going-for-a-ride” (as you tilt your head with joy every time we say those words). We miss your “big-scary-growls” as you play with your empty crunchy water bottle. We miss watching you run with uber-joy down the beach. We miss you deeply. I hope we will see each other again…over the Rainbow Bridge. Love,

October 21, 2001 – February 26, 2010

Raider, you have left a giant hole in our hearts and lives. Though we loved you only briefly, we loved you deeply. We will never forget how you “mothered” Littles, and got stuck in your crate or how you “hid” your bone in the toilet bowl. Your smile warmed our hearts. Rest in peace, eat all the furniture you want, bark as loudly as you want. We miss you buddy. Thank you Eden Memorial for all you have done for our buddy.

Siefer Kitty
October, 2006 – August 8, 2009

He was our best friend and the love of our lives. We rescued him from the animal shelter when he was only 8 weeks old and he lived with us until he was almost 3 years old. Words cannot describe the pain we feel at the loss of our beloved kitty and how much he will be missed. He is buried in the yard where we can visit him anytime we want to and he will know how much we love him. We Love You Siefer Kitty. Blessed Be.

Baby girl, you are missed so very much. You were the perfect fur baby, you could do no wrong and never did. We truly believe God made one perfect dog, and it was you. You and Willow are together again and I know this makes you both happy. We so look forward to crossing that Rainbow Bridge with both of you some day.
You & Willow were so special. Love & Miss You,

The gates of memory never close
How you are missed, no one knows
Wishing today as never before
That you were around for a few years more

Foxy Lady
March 1996 – August 2009

Words can’t describe the loss of a special campanion that shared your life for the last 13 years. You were loved by everyone that met you, because you were so sweet. You will be missed and loved forever and always in our hearts. I was very pleased with the service from Eden. Thanks for the way you took care of things for me.

Went to Heaven on July 23, 2009

You were the sweetest and most gentle soul. I’ll miss hearing your melodious purr at 3am, the time of night you were happiest. I know how you loved going outside and lying in the sun. I would have done anything to have been there when you left. I wish I could have carried you outside one last time so you could smell the fresh air. I know where you’re at now, you’re happy, eating your favorite foods and relaxing in the sun. I will miss you until I can see you again and hear your singing purrs and give you kisses. Love,

Our love, our little “Punky” as we lovingly called you…I miss your nose-to-nose talkers that you did with me; dad misses you more than you know – he doesn’t quite know what to do when his hand falls down to the side of the chair and you’re not there; and Doogie & Maggie aren’t quite sure what to do with themselves. May you ‘porpoise’ through the tall grass, do ‘perimeter checks’ and eat as many chips as you want to all day long! Be close to Odie, Kadee, and Bambi. I promise that Dad, Bill, Doogie, Maggie and I will see you very soon. You are more loved than you know. You were our angel here and we thank you for loving us so very, very much.

Lexi Baby, we miss you a lot. You will always be in our hearts. Your happy and playful personality will continue to live in our minds. Thank you for all the joy you gave our family. Sorry your life was cut short just like that. We love you dearly!

– The Frame Family

Sept 7, 1997 – Jan. 24, 2009

You came to us through Ross, but became a member of the family instantly. I loved knowing you were behind me when you heard the chopping of carrots. You could do so many tricks and understood so many words we had to spell in front of you! You had your own MySpace page and were never ‘just a dog’. We’ll miss you always,

Went to heaven on February 20, 2009

You never let your worn out body keep you from enjoying life. I loved
watching you and your girlfriend Jemmie go in and out of the yard. And you were always so cute giving each other baths. Jemmie misses cuddling and napping with you. I know you’re happy up in heaven, running around and playing without being slowed down by old aching joints. I will see you again one day, and I will enjoy hearing you purr as you rest on my lap. Love,

– Arnold
