With Eden’s new construction and expanding pet cremation services comes construction woes. It doesn’t matter if you are going through a kitchen remodel at home, a facelift to your office space or a major new construction project– the construction process can be overwhelming!!
When I went into this project and expansion with Eden Memorial, I honestly had no idea what I was getting into. With my father as my main consultant and “entrepreneurial guru”, I set off with literally a piece of 8×11 paper with scribble marks on it. I said this is what I want- how much will this cost and how long will it take? Well…one year later, I have a tool belt and a world of knowledge to go with my bank assessors, contractors, architects, builders, rigging crews, electricians, plumbers, metal workers, crematory techs and so much more! Who knew a BA in Broadcasting/TV Production would bring me here! A small business owner in Paso Robles, CA (San Luis Obispo County) — and a pet crematory at that! I actually laugh when I hear myself say that…
But here we are…so close to being done. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have so many people to thank, who have helped this project get to this point. But number one, my contractor Jim Tierney deserves the biggest kudos!! Without Jim’s hard work, professionalism and continued proactive steady on the job demeanor…I wouldn’t be standing here today looking at one complete building and one “almost” done building.
So many great services to come to SLO County and Central Valley clients! Stay tuned to learn more…
But for now…you need any advice on getting through construction of your own: Here are some tips on getting through commercial construction.
Until next time,
